To staff the new stores, UNIQLO started the hiring of more than 1,100 new U.S. employees in April of this year.

“Opening stores on New York’s Fifth Avenue and 34th Street, the world’s top shopping destinations, is a long time dream for UNIQLO and a significant step for the future of our brand,” said Shin Odake. “Thanks to the tremendous support from the people of New York, UNIQLO is now able to deliver our unique shopping experience and outstanding customer service to not only New York, but to visitors from around the country and all over the world.”
